My love affair with Disney began at a very early age.  It was a big deal on Sunday night in my house, because we were allowed to set up the TV trays in the family room to eat dinner in front of the television, to watch...you guessed it...The Wonderful World of Disney.  Even just typing that makes me feel a little overwhelmed. I didn't actually get to visit Walt Disney World until I was 19 years old, but once I did, my passion for all things Disney escalated!

I eventually took that passion and turned it into Pure Magic Vacations!

I am so honoured to be a part of one of the most magical adventures you and your family will share.  I take such great pride in our work that we do here and we really do try to add those extra dashes of magic and pixie dust to every Disney vacation, planning your Disney experience with the same attention to detail as when we plan for our own families.

I believe that the planning part of a trip can be just as fun as going on the trip. I love researching destinations, planning trip budgets and developing itineraries. This is why I wanted to be a Cruise and Travel Specialist -- I wanted to share my passion for planning trips and help folks plan their trips with the same detail that I do for mine. I first became a travel agent in 2007 and when I found Carolyn and Pure Magic Vacations I knew it was the right fit for me. I was bit by the ‘Disney Bug’ later in life and now Walt Disney World is one of my favourite places to travel and I try to visit once or twice each year. One of my other specialties is Las Vegas!  Although I’m not a gambler, in the city that never sleeps I love the desert mountains and dry heat, the abundance of shopping opportunities, and any bits of that old Las Vegas charm I can find!

I was 4 years old when I visited for the first-time Disney World. After that, I have been there many times in all the stages of my life: single, married and with babies and kids. A special mention is my experience of traveling to Disney with a relative with special needs. My father-in-law is in a wheelchair and he barely can communicate at all, but for him, Disney is the best holiday spot. No other word describes the feeling I get when I look back on over a decade of happy family memories thanks to Disney.

Our oldest daughter was just two and a half years old when we took her to Disney World for the first time.  Our experience was so magical, that we have been back every year since.  The princess breakfasts, the character greetings, the rides, the resort pools, the fireworks and food…we love it all!

The quality of our experiences at the parks led us to choose Disney Cruise Line and Adventures by Disney when we were ready to travel the world with our girls. 

Together, we have seen the glaciers of Alaska and the beauty of the Norwegian Fjords. We have eaten gelato in Rome and baguettes in Nice. We have snorkeled in the Great Barrier Reef, enjoyed a sunset camel ride in the Australian Outback and marveled at the opulence of the Hermitage Museum in St. Petersburg, Russia.

I first knew I wanted to be in the travel industry when I was 14 years old.  Having never left Canada I ventured on a trip to Club Med St. Lucia.  A bit of culture shock on arrival turned into a love affair with traveling by the time we left.  After graduating with an honours diploma in Tourism and Travel my goal to work at Disney was derailed when I met my Prince Charming.  I finally got my first visit on our Honeymoon.  Each stay since has only fueled the obsession and I now have a Prince and Princess of my own and love seeing the magic through their eyes!

It’s evident to family and friends when they walk in our front door that we are a family of Disney geeks.  From our trip countdown calendar to our pin trading board proudly displayed, Disney is very much a part of our daily lives.  My geek side also comes out when I plan vacations.  I love listening to Disney Podcasts, chatting online with other Disney fans, watching YouTube videos of the rides and checking out the latest Disney food blogs.  I have personal experience with both Disneyworld and Disneyland and have graduated from the Disney College of Knowledge.  As a family, we have also cruised with Carnival and Royal Caribbean and either visited or stayed on a dozen of the islands in the Caribbean.

After eight years as a presenter on The Weather Network, I left the 3am morning show call times and severe thunderstorm warnings behind to spend more time with my daughter. 

Actually, it was taking my daughter to Walt Disney World for her first time that re-ignited my love for Disney theme parks. 

Like many kids growing up in Southern Ontario, I spent many March breaks and summer holidays enjoying family trips to Florida.  However, as I got older, the trips to Florida became less and less frequent – and it was a decade before I would return to Walt Disney World again. 

Experiencing Walt Disney World through the eyes of my daughter was one of the greatest experiences of my life. All it took was two days at Magic Kingdom with my princess-loving toddler, and I was completely hooked.

My secret dream would be to move into the Haunted Mansion and to play Toy Story Midway Mania for hours on end!

When my husband said one day back in 2008 that he thought we should surprise our children with a trip to Walt Disney World, the first words out of my mouth were, “Why would we want to go there?”. By the middle of our first day at Magic Kingdom, I was completely hooked and was already thinking about our next trip! Now I can't imagine not going every chance I can, and if anyone who knows me was asked to describe me with one phrase, they would say “Disney Addict”. Like many young Canadians, my Sunday evenings were spent watching the Wonderful World of Disney on CBC, where I was swept away on adventures with Pete and Elliot or Pollyanna. My mother fed into this obsession and new Disney movies could be found under the tree every Christmas: The Little Mermaid, Aladdin, Beauty, and the Beast…When I spent my first Christmas with my husband, I knew he was my Prince Charming as I opened his gift to me: Lilo and Stitch.

Despite many nights spent wishing upon stars, I did not have the opportunity to visit Disney World until I was an adult. I was completely awestruck and knew I had to find every opportunity to return. Luckily my Prince Charming is almost as much of a Disney-phile as I am and is happy to spend every vacation at the House of Mouse.

Before I even got a chance to be a Cast Member through the International Program at WDW, I was plastering my room with all things Mickey! After deciding to pursue a Travel and Tourism Diploma, my heart was set on working for the Mouse! I enjoyed working in the Canadian Pavilion in EPCOT for a full magical year! My love of Disney started as a child when I first visited Disney World at the age of 10. However, my true love began when I took my eldest son for the first time when he was just 2 1⁄2. It was magical to see it all through his eyes. I’ll never forget the look on his face as we walked down Main Street the first time. I am a true believer that any age is a good age to visit Disney. Spending time researching Disney, I happened upon Pure Magic Vacations website. The bios of the cast members made me feel like I could have my family picture alongside all of theirs because they felt like family already as we had so much in common: I just had to be part of this amazing team! Luckily, Carolyn felt the same way.

Born and raised in Newfoundland, and living in Nova Scotia over 20 years, I guess means I have the sea in my blood because I am addicted to Disney Cruises! We started traveling with Disney Cruise Line when my son was 4y and by the time he was 10y we had 6 cruises completed and we are always dreaming and planning new adventures. We are also big Walt Disney World fans too; linking land and sea packages to extend our experiences. Disney is truly magical - it is my happy place - and I wish to help make it yours!!

I have been a Disney fan since birth.  I grew up watching the Wonderful World of Disney with my family every Sunday night. Our first, and only, major family trip was to Walt Disney World when I was 14.  We celebrated my sister's 8th birthday while in the Magic Kingdom and it seem I was destined for a Disney life.

I am currently a Walt Disney World annual pass holder as well as a Disney Vacation Club member and have over 15 Walt Disney World trips under my belt! I have been to both Walt Disney World and Disneyland, as well as Disney's Aulani resort and spa in Hawaii.

For me, Disney has always brought a sense of joy whenever I go to the parks, watch a Disney movie or answering friends' questions about Disney in general.  Being able to share my love of all things Disney is my greatest form of pleasure. For me, this isn't just a 'hobby', it's my way of life.

I still remember that magical moment almost 15 years ago, when I went to Walt Disney World for the first time, with my then 4-year-old son. Upon entering the gate, and viewing Main Street USA, I started to cry. This was truly as beautiful and special as I had always imagined. That trip had many firsts for us, and many memories, and began a lifelong love of all things, Disney. Now my entire family is Passholders, and there is nowhere we would rather be. Whether it is my husband doing all the RunDisney races, or getting to experiences those firsts all over again with my 2-year-old, this is truly a place that is special to me in a way that I can not describe. Apart from having watched The Wonderful World of Disney on Sunday evenings as a child, my real introduction to the magic of Disney came as an adult, when I first visited Walt Disney World with my children. Seeing it all through their eyes and experiencing the incredible customer service provided by the Disney Cast Members has resulted in many return visits over the past 15 years.

As a single mom of three, Disney has been an ideal vacation destination where we can all relax and enjoy ourselves knowing we will be well taken care of. An initial trip with young children turned into many trips with tweens and teenagers and now young adults. In addition to family trips, I’ve also enjoyed several adult-only getaways and even a solo visit.

Each time I strive to make our vacation new and unique by trying something different – making a reservation at a restaurant we’ve never tried before or booking one of the many special events and tours offered at the parks. Over the years we have taken advantage of many of these options including Mickey’s Not So Scary Hallowe’en Party, Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, the Epcot Food and Wine Festival, and the Epcot Flower and Garden Festival. We’ve participated in the Keys to the Kingdom tour in Magic Kingdom, the Wild Africa Trek in the Animal Kingdom and the Starlight Safari at Animal Kingdom Lodge. We’ve even headed to Walt Disney World for a few RunDisney events.

In recent years, my family and I have fallen in love with Disney Cruise Line. We’ve made even more incredible memories sailing on each of the four ships on cruises to The Bahamas and the Caribbean, and Alaska. 

My love of Disney is well known to my friends and family and I’m always been ready with helpful planning advice. It would be my great pleasure to use my wealth of knowledge and firsthand experience to help you and your family make magical memories too!

For as long as I can remember, I have been a huge Disney fan. Even as a teen, I proudly created a Winnie the Pooh (playing volleyball) T-Shirt in my industrial arts class; many thought this was a little crazy, but I loved it!! Disney, especially Pooh Bear, has been a part of all the major events in my life. From graduating high school and receiving a whole kitchen full of Disney themed dishes; to my wedding where my "Pooh Bear" wrote a letter wishing me an amazing and happy marriage; to my first daughter's bedroom, which was, of course, themed to my favorite Bear. I could not wait to share my passion for all things Disney with my children and have been fortunate enough to take my three daughters to experience Disney first-hand numerous times. With this next endeavor, I am so excited to share this love with many families to come, and can not wait to start helping create some magical memories for others.

One of my earliest memories is of interacting with Winnie The Pooh during the parade on Main Street USA when I was 3 years old. Since then, I have been a Disney fan! That first walk down Main Street USA is so exciting that I get overwhelmed and tear up a little every time.
